This move reflects our ambition to grow the Sky High network to 50 franchisees by the end of 2027, while strengthening the support, structure, and operating model behind our franchise partners.
Steve brings more than 30 years of senior leadership experience across the franchise and corporate sectors — including running a large multi-site franchise business with a turnover of £46m.
Having operated on both sides of the franchisor–franchisee relationship, Steve understands:

- the pressures and opportunities that come with scale
- how the right structure and leadership support accelerates franchise success

Some established territories are currently generating in excess of 70 leads per month across our range of exterior cleaning services. However, lead volumes vary between territories and individual franchisees and cannot be guaranteed.
In addition to new enquiries, franchisees also benefit from repeat customers, referrals, recommendations, and long-term recurring work that can help build a stable customer base over time.
11. Are customer numbers or income projections guaranteed?
No. While we provide proven systems, marketing support, and lead generation, results will vary depending on factors such as effort, consistency, territory potential, services offered, and overall business performance.

Turnover varies depending on territory size, services offered, and growth strategy.
Current franchisees typically achieve between £4,500 and £9,000 per month from a single franchise operation. Some franchisees have expanded into additional territories, added vehicles, and built teams to increase turnover further.

13. What are the average operating costs for a franchisee?
Operating costs vary depending on:

My Story
Around 2005 I decided to start my own window cleaning business after a good friend of mine from London came to stay locally and asked if I could help him out for a few days. What I saw during that time completely surprised me—I couldn’t believe the money he was making. More importantly, I realised this was something I genuinely loved.
I started with nothing. A £500 van, a bucket of water, and a few traditional tools. No ladder, no money, no marketing, no social media, and no real understanding of business at all. I didn’t even know what “business meant. What I did have was belief, drive, passion, and a positive attitude—and that turned out to be everything.
Before window cleaning, I was self employed doing peoples gardens. I had a handful of customers, but honestly, I didn’t know the difference between flowers and weeds. What I did know was how to work hard, enjoy the job, and build good relationships. Customers liked me—and very quickly I learned an important lesson: business is about people, trust, and relationships.
For my birthday, my mum bought me a ladder. That ladder changed everything. I could finally clean full houses. I began knocking on doors—often uncomfortable, nerve-racking, and intimidating, especially the bigger the house. But I pushed through it. Day after day, I knocked on doors and drummed up work and it got a lot easier
That work soon turned into referrals. Referrals turned into long-term customers. Over time, the business grew into a large operation—4 to 5 vans on the road, office-based systems, and staff working alongside me. Many of my customers stayed with me for years, some from the very beginning.
After many years of building the business, I realised I wanted something more. I wanted to give other people the same opportunity I had—to build something from the ground up, to be proud of their business, and to earn every single customer.

I started out in SkyHigh Window Cleaning as an employee for Paul in 2021. After spending some time cleaning windows for Paul I was surprised how much I enjoyed it meeting all the customers and I enjoy working by myself as I can just get stuck in.
Seeing how well Paul had done for himself and how lucrative this role could be I started to think could I do this for myself and started conversations with Paul as he had mentioned about franchises before, I didn’t even know what a franchise really was but he explained it all to me and made everything really clear, and said he would always be here to guide me along the way and give me advice with his 16+ years of experience. (This really has helped).
It was scary at first taking the risk but I think sometimes, especially in business you have to take your shot so I did and I have never looked back, I have picked up many jobs just buying being out working, and by taking pride in my work many of my customers have passed my details of other customers who have approached me to come and clean their windows or clear their gutters.
After a year of working for myself as a franchisee, I had a conversation with Paul about the possibility of me buying another franchise so that I could build the business to a much higher level, take on an employee and really start to build this business.
So now I am currently just setting up from home making my own water filter system, So I will be fully self-sufficient and dependent, but I still have Paul there if I ever have any queries or problems which is brilliant and gives me that extra confidence.

So far, I’m happy with the marketing efforts. The leads coming in are promising, and many turn into repeat customers. On average, I receive 40 leads per month. Some months are busier than others, but the trend is growing as brand awareness increases.
